We wanted an elegent traditional, yet homely and functional, home and chose Masterplan after an exhaustive evaluation of better quality builders. They introduced a leading architect for the design work and architectural drafting specialists for the detailed drawings. At all times Masterplan worked with us to ensure a practical solution to our requirements.

The actual building proceeded smoothly and Masterplan's staff and contractors not only knew each other's work but we were continuously invited to meet with them and discuss each facet of work (unlike many other builders). Their pride in providing top quality was evident and Masterplan's strategy of not having too many jobs at once ensured tight management control. Cost control was within our budget and adjustments from the original design were minimal and yet effective.

The fit-out and finishing with free interior design was better than we expected. Flowing staircase and lit dome feature spectacularly link the 2 floors, both with high ceilings andintricate detailed rooms.

Not only are we absolutely thrilled with our home (our fourth architect-designed home so we were not inexperienced in home building) but visitors are "gobsmacked" when they see it for the first time. Our experience with Masterplan Builders.

 

We selected Masterplan builders to build our dream home because of their high quality in workmanship and ability to undertake a “complex” build. We were reassured with our choice at completion. In fact, Masterplan surpassed our expectations and our home is everything we had hoped it would be. Masterplan’s contractors were craftsmen who took pride in their work and our dream home became very much theirs as well.

 

The things we liked about Masterplan were:

 

1. Their flexibility in allowing us to undertake aspects of the project ourselves, such as sourcing our own tiles, floorboards and heating and cooling solutions.

 

2. Changes were not frowned upon and knocked back, instead they worked with us to create our vision, and

 

3. Our supervisor Glen was just the best. He would recommend things to ensure authenticity to our Federation style home and he also was willing to take on board our suggestions.

 

We have no hesitation in recommending Masterplan Builders to anyone wishing to build a special home. They certainly delivered on ours!

We are delighted with the house that Masterplan Builders built for us. It was the fourth house we have built and the most complex because of the drainage, proximity of the excavation to an existingtwo story house, substantial engineering and structural steelwork and variety of external and internal finishes.

 

Although the architectural drawings and specification were fully detaild there were a number of occasions when a variation was required to improve the final result. The Masterplan staff were meticulous in discussing any variations and costs some resulting in a credit, others incurring a cost. We were impressed by the integrity, professionalism, Knowledge and attention to detail during the planning and construction of the house.

 

From past experience building a house can be an ordeal. Our relationship with Masterplan was one of the dealing with competent and friendly staff and tradesmen who cooperated to make the project a very pleasant experience.

First of all I would like to thank you and everyone at Masterplan for the completion of our new home. Being our first home that we actually built from scratch, to say we were slightly nervous when organizing builders after some of the horror stories of the building trade that you hear would have been an understatment. It was not until we were recomended to Masterplan by a friend that also had a house built by Masterplan that we flet more comfortable with our decision to go with Masterplan.

 

Throughout the whole process and even after completion you and your team have been extremely helpful and most of all, accommadationg to the needs of people like ourselves that were building for the first time. The best thing of all is that even after we moved in, any little niggling problems that we had were rectified straight away, not that this was a problem anyway because we have had hardly any to speak of and this can only be attributed to the high quality of workmanship in the building.

 

With a growing family, I can't see this being our last home and if we decide to move on I certainly will be using Masterplan again.

It is hard to believe that we took occupation some three and a half years ago...our home still looks and feels brand new!

 

At our first meeting way back in 2001 we were most impressed by your friendly helpful and professional approach to the design and planning of our "North Caufield dream". Your advice and attention to detail left us feeling comfortable that we had indeed made the right choice of builder.
